There are three major London airports. These are London Heathrow, London
Gatwick and London City.
- London Heathrow - It is the biggest London airport, with five terminals
numbered one to five. It is located in west London
- London Gatwick - It has two terminals, North Terminal and South
Terminal. It is located south of London, just outside the M25 Orbital.
- London City - It has only one terminal, but has the advantage of
being the only airport in central London. It is less than a mile (less than
a Km) from ExCeL London, 2 miles (about 3 Km) from the 2012 Olympic Games
site, 3 miles (about 5 Km) from Canary Wharf and 6 miles (almost 10 Km) from
the City of London.
Airports serving London, but further away from the centre are London
Stansted, which is 46 minutes away from London by train, and London Luton,
which takes a minimum of 21 minutes to London by train.
